ICCS’s achievements in last 15 years from 1995 to 2010

- Organizing over 20 conferences in many different countries including USA, Italy, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Trinidad , Suriname and many others in collaborations with many organizations working with indigenous traditions and cultures.
- Published over 30 books and distributed world-wide (www.iccsus.org), some of the titles include Afro Hindu Cultural Ethos, Afro Hindu Vision, and Indo-Native American similarities and so on.
- Organized three major conferences under the World council of elders of the ancient traditions and cultures with a membership over 1100 from more than 75 countries.
- The first conference was held at Mumbai, India in 2003 with the theme: “Metakuye Oyasin” we are all related, attended by 257 delegates from 31 different countries from Americas, Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia continents.
- The second conference was held at Jaipur, India in 2006 with the theme: “Spirituality beyond religions”, attended by 305 delegates from 42 different countries from Americas, Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia continents.
- The third conference was held at Nagpur, India in 2009 with the theme: “Renaissance of the ancient traditions: challenges and solutions”, attended by 350 delegates from 32 different countries from Americas, Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia continents.
- Recently ICCS organized a conference in collaboration with WCER in Bologna Italy attended by over 10 delegates from over 18 countries.
- The fourth international conference and gathering of the elders will be in New Delhi/Haridhwar in Feb 2012. The theme of the fourth conference is “ Nourishing the balance of the universe”
- ICCS has stared chapters I Washington DC, Boston and Los Angeles, CA
- ICCS mainly focuses on comparative studies in the ancient traditions and it’s parallel in Hindu philosophy and cultures.
- Since last two years ICCS has launched other academic efforts under “RIWATCH” research institute for ancient traditions and cultural heritage, with centers in Roing Arunachal Pradesh, Vilnius Lithuania and Riga, Latvia, exploring other countries to have the centers. RIWATCH will focus on exchange of faculties and students to India and study the parallels between Hindu and other Indian philosophies and the cultures of the world.
- ICCS is entering in a new area of “ Bringing the different perspectives of Hindu and other eastern thoughts as well as the indigenous traditions in the field of Conflict management”. This proposal submitted to Uberai foundation is an attempt to seek funding for this particular initiative of ICCS.
